Student testimonial from University of Pennsylvania

“Once I mastered the basics I began to code larger programs with the help of my mentor. I was able to learn how to utilize graphics and arrays within my code… I was able to learn in a different and unique environment as opposed to my school. My mentor was knowledgeable and helped clarify all my questions clearly.”

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We carefully match mentors to students based on the chosen subject major, considering both the student’s academic background and the mentor’s expertise.

Our team will first provide 2-3 tailored mentor recommendations, allowing the student and their family to select the mentor who best suits their needs and aspirations.

  • If a student is too busy with other commitments, they have the option to postpone certain classes. However, we recommend completing the programme within the stipulated time to ensure that classes are conducted smoothly and without interruptions, as delays may hinder progress.

  • Students are expected to fully commit to the programme to maximise their learning experience.

This includes being open to constructive feedback, attending classes punctually as agreed with the mentor, and providing at least 24 hours' written notice for any class cancellations.

  • Each student is expected to spend 1 hour per week with their mentor, along with an additional 4-6 hours per week dedicated to project work.

The actual time commitment may vary depending on the complexity of the project and the student’s discipline and dedication to the programme.

  • All our mentors maintain clear schedules and stay in close communication with us. At UniWise, we actively manage mentor allocations to ensure that each student receives the attention they need.

Due to high demand, mentors in popular courses often reach full capacity quickly. Therefore, we recommend that students commit to the programme as early as possible to secure their place.
